 Passive smoking can not only affect the smoker but also the people near the smoke. Passive smoking is a cause of heart disease and lung cancer and can initiate or aggravate respiratory conditions such as asthma and bronchitis. Many people that don’t smoke but inhale smoke have some of the same respiratory problem as the people that smoke. These people have no choice as to whether or not they are exposed to your harmful smoke. Passive smoking constitutes a serious public health risk to both children and adults.Passive smoking is very harmful to health it kills 53,000 non smokers a year Passive smoking worsens asthma in those with the condition Passive smoking increases the risk of heart disease and lung cancer by 25%the threat of Heart disease is augmented by 50-60% in passive smoking these are just some of the Statistics shown (Smoking Statistic).

In 10th grade I learned and read a book call anthem and I learned a lot from that book us as Being yourself can bring changes that’s the biggest message trying to be portrayed in the book Anthem. I always knew that people couldn’t tell me what I could do or could not do especially if I was capable of doing it. Would you even let anyone make all your choices for you? You could show your independents in many ways. In Anthem Equality 7-2521 tried to find his individuality.  In the book it say that ”why the best in me had been my sins and transgression” meaning his creation of the light  bud was wonderful in Equality 7-2521 eyes but in the council eye it was not worth as much. In this society the council believed that no one could think for themselves. Equality was brought up thinking if the council did not above of what you was doing it would be a sin and with him creating the wonderful light bud he felt like he was worth much more then the council portrayed him to be.

Convict leasing was a system of penal labor practiced in the Southern United States. This beginning with the emancipation of slaves at the end of the American Civil War in 1865, peaking around 1880, and officially ending in the last state, Alabama, in 1928. Private prisons have a long history. In the 1880s private correctional organizations created the Convict Lease System, perhaps the first privatized prison system in America. Convict leasing provided prisoner labor to private parties, such as plantation owners and corporations such as the Tennessee Coal and Iron Company. The lessee was responsible for feeding, clothing, and housing the prisoners. I never knew that about convict leasing and it crazy how people was treated back in the day.
